Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Lace up your takkies and get ready to participate in the Fortress Running Series race taking place for the first time ever at Flamwood Walk on November 19. This is the first race being held at the Flamwood Walk shopping centre and is the last of the four races in the 2023 Fortress Running Series.

Comrades legends Tete Dijana and Edward Mothibi will be participating in the race - join them by entering today.

Entry fees start at R60 for the 5km, R100 for the 10km and R150 for the 21.1km races. Children under 12 can participate in the 5km race for free. All finishers will receive medals and the total prize pool up for grabs for the 21.1km and 10km races is over R20 000.

Supporters are welcome and can enjoy family-friendly activities like face painting, jumping castles and a play area, as well as live music and entertainment at Flamwood Walk Shopping Centre on the day of the race.

The Fortress Running Series celebrates South Africans’ passion for running. Since its inception in 2018, this event has been dedicated to bringing the thrill of running events to rural communities, providing a platform for local residents to participate and showcase their athletic talent.

Entry forms will be available at the shopping centre one week before the race.
