NOORDWESTER – ZEERUST - Warrant Officer Koketso Mareka (40) appeared before the Zeerust Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 24 May, for kidnapping, assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm (GBH), attempted murder and kidnapping.
She was granted R2000.00 bail and her second court appearance before the same court will be on Thursday, 27 June.
Delareyville crackdown on illicit cigarettes
NOORDWESTER - DELAREYVILLE - In an effort to crackdown on illicit economic activities, a Crime Intelligence driven operation by Lichtenburg K9 and Delareyville SAPS resulted in the apprehension of a 43-year-old Pakistani foreign national for possession of illicit cigarettes on Thursday, 23 May.

NOORDWESTER – LICHTENBURG - Five suspects between the ages of 24 and 42, appeared before the Klerksdorp Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 14 May, after being arrested on Thursday, 9 May, for kidnapping.
According to information received, five suspects who are Zimbabwean Nationals, saw an advert on Facebook about the sale of maize meal in Klerksdorp. They then made arrangements for Tuesday, 7 May, and ultimately drove from Pretoria to come and buy the product.
Speurders betrap diewe
NOORDWESTER – SANNIESHOF – Twee speurders van Sannieshof, sersant Tumelo Hoffman en sersant Stephan Masoko, het onlangs inligting ontvang dat twee mans besig was om te steel by Klippan.
Dié twee het die diewe op heterdaad betrap, waar hulle besig was om te peuter by die Eskom-tranformatorsubstasie en battery-energie stoorstelsel.
Michael oorleef honde-aanval
NOORDWESTER – LICHTENBURG - Michael Rossouw (27) inwoner van Lichtenburg, is op Sondag, 19 Mei, aangeval deur twee pittbulls. Sy ouers, Ida en Jorrie Jordaan, het ook deurgeloop. Michael is tans in ‘n hospitaal in Klerksdorp.
Die honde het hom aangeval nadat hy by sy ma se huis gestop het en hy sy kind uit die karstoeltjie agter in die motor wou haal. Die diere het glo uit die erf van die bure oorkant die straat gekom en hom van agter af getakel.
