Drivers robbed at gunpoint

Stellalander-Vryburg - Two Foreign Nationals were robbed along the Vryburg/Schweizer-Reneke National road here. According to police, the men were en route to Johannesburg. The incident happened on Monday (24 April) at 02:30, approximately 25km from Vryburg when two business owners were travelling in a light delivery vehicle from the Bona Bona Village near Morokweng.

Stellalander-Vryburg – Die inwoners van Vryburg is in rep en roer nadat die Departement van Verkeer in Vryburg se diens nou al reeds `n geruime tyd uiters swak is. “Ek het alreeds in Januarie vir my Publieke bestuurspermit aansoek gedoen, juis sodat ek dit het wanneer dit in April verval. Vier maande later en ek het nogsteeds niks ontvang nie!” dit is volgens `n ongelukkige inwoner van Vryburg na sy onlangse besoek aan die Verkeersdepartement.

Man abducted, assaulted

Stellalander - Vryburg - The police here are investigating a case of abduction after a severely assaulted man was found at a filling station about 55km from town. Petrol attendants at the filling station saw two men unloading another man from a red Volkswagen sedan, but was told by the two that the man they are dropping off are mentally ill. They were told not to listen to his "tall tales".
