Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - With the festive season approaching, Khaya Tshepo Home of Hope for vulnerable children is collecting groceries for their Festive Food Parcels Project.

They need to fill fifty food parcels. “Please help us in making sure that, with the help of our community, our children and their families have enough to eat during the four weeks that they will be at home and not receiving their normal two nutritious meals and two snacks per day, at Khaya Tshepo,” appeals Charleen Diedericks, project manager.

They require staple items such as pap, rice, mealie rice, pasta, samp, beans, salt, sugar, teabags and oil - also tinned food such as baked beans, vegetables, chakalaka, fish & jam, and packets of soya and soup. They would also like to share luxuries such as jelly, chips, sweets, biscuits and cool drinks.

“They would appreciate it if your donations will reach them by November 30, as volunteers will be packing these goods into fifty food parcels on December 5 and they will be delivered to the homes of the children and their families on December 9 and 10.

Contact Diedericks on 079 256 4255 or Nomonde Lehloo, 082 200 4170, for information.
