Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The icy blast of winter is making itself felt - bringing the need for blankets and food to destitute people.
This week’s bitter cold in many parts of the country have emphasised the importance of donating blankets and food. This early cold snap has the Bikers Care organisation in Klerksdorp organising a blanket run on Thursday July 3.
They are appealing to members of the public to give generously to the outreach. “Those who do not have the comfort of proper shelter really feel the cold of winter. We really want to try and help those in need,” said Johan Kleinhans of Bikers Care.
The following is needed:
* Warm clothing, including coats, sweaters, hats, gloves, and scarves. Children’s clothing is especially needed.
* Blankets and bedding, new or clean.
