Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The Kwalata Hiking, Camping, and Spring Festival is taking place this month at the Faan Meintjes Nature Reserve and it is the ideal time to enjoy the fresh air and outdoors.
The City of Matlosana, in partnership with the Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation, and Tourism (DEDECT), and the Matlosana Hiking Club, is presenting the festival on September 27.
Tickets are available at Mayibuye Municipal Finance Building, the Municipal Pay Point at Pick n Pay Hyper in Willoppies, and at the Faan
Meintjes Entrance for the convenience of residents and visitors. The entrance fee is R150 for adults and R50 for children.
The festival promises a vibrant program with live entertainment with hiking trails, camping activities and cultural showcases, and family-friendly fun. Hiking registration will take place at 05:30, with the 3.5 km, 5 km and 10 km hikes starting at 06:00. Bring your own hiking gear. There will be a kid’s corner.
