tswe, Tigane - The wife of the co-founder of the ANC branch in Tigane was buried last weekend. Ruth Rothman (62) was married to Phillip Rothman. She passed away on June 6 after she suffered burns on her body while cooking. She was laid to rest on Saturday June 14. Comrade Tshebi as she was called, served as the deputy secretary of the ANC Women’s League in 1995. In 2000, she was involved in fund-raising and logistics. She was still active in organizing preparations for next year’s elections. She is survived by her husband, two children, a grandson, three siblings and her comrades.
Webster’s society helps

Men talk about challenges
Lentswe, Jouberton - Various men, also fathers, got together to discuss different challenges facing men today. These challenges can be financial, problematic children, marital issues, unemployment, and family conflicts. They also touched on Men’s Mental Health as this month is dedicated to that.
Orkney library celebrates youth month
The Orkney library celebrated youth month on Friday June 13 with vibrant programs aimed at school children. The first program was for Kanana Ntataise Primary School where students were engaged with interactive activities. The Orkney library also hosted a visit from Bright Angels Pre-school learners from Kanana.
Classrooms without teachers?
Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Where are the teachers? And where has the money gone?! It is in the middle of the school year and there are still more than 29 000 vacant teaching posts in public schools in South Africa. These posts should have been filled at the start of the school year in January, according to Fedsas.
