Lentswe, Jouberton - The Lulu Chao Foundation presented a youth program on July 2 at Liquid Centre to help the youth stand strong in these challenging times.
The message brought by Rev MP Moholo was for them to focus on their education to they can seize opportunities. “Life is very difficult, and they need to navigate and make sure they change their ways and be the best persons they can be,’’ he said.
Training in basic life support
Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Life Anncron Hospital is proud to announce the successful culmination of its comprehensive Emergency Unit Campaign, with a well-attended Adult Basic Life Support (BLS) training session for the local community. This initiative marks a significant milestone in the hospital’s commitment to enhancing emergency preparedness and fostering a healthier, more resilient community in Klerksdorp and the surrounding province.
Donation to crisis centre
Just before the school holidays, the Kosh Crisis Centre received a donation from Curro Klerksdorp. The crisis centre is a non-profit organisation based at Tshepong Hospital providing psychosocial services on gender based violence, rape and trauma counseling. Stokie Bloem, manager of the centre, thanked teachers, learners and parents of Curro for the donation. Boys in the spotlight
Lentswe, Klerksdorp - McGenius Academy hosted the Dad’s Guidance Initiative recently. In effort to combat the matters and as a celebration of both father’s day and youth day, McGenius Academy NPC hosted the Dad’s Guidance Initiative on June 20. The programme was in collaboration with SAVF Rethabile Home and various stakeholders including SAPS, Social Development, Correctional Services, Department of Justice and many more.
Local craftsman laid to rest
Mohani Ngwenya, fondly known as “Honey B,” was a talented and self-taught craftsman. He was well known for his skills in bricklaying, carpentry, architecture, and fashion design. He had a sharp eye for beauty and detail. His nickname, “Honey B,” came from his sweet, sleek, and stylish nature. He worked passionately until illness forced him to stop. Sadly, he passed away on June 28. He will be laid to rest on Saturday July 5 at 538 Extension 1, Jouberton.
