BONUS - RUSTENBURG - The Rustenburg Local Munici-pality has issued a notice of a planned water infrastructure maintenance which will affect Rustenburg next week.
The municipality said that Rand Water is conducting maintenance on the Zuikerbosch and Vereeniging supply scheme to enhance plant availability, reliability, and efficiency.
According to information received, maintenance on the Eikenhof system will commence from 30 June to 21 July 2025.
Impact on Rand Water supply: no pumping for six hours. It will be increased to 50% for 42 hours and it will be increased to 80% for the remaining 19 days.
Reservoirs that will be affected include: Cashan Reservoir, Half Million, Booster Reservoir, Tierkloof Reservoir, Boschdal Reservoir, Stokkiesdraai, Old Works Reservoir, Marikana Reservoir, Lapologang Reservoir, Ikemeleng Reservoir, Bokamoso Reservoir and N4 Shell Garage meter. Residents are encouraged to use water sparingly, as this will hasten the recovery of the system.
