Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The Feed A Child Charity Shop in Flamwood is celebrating its eleventh year in Klerksdorp.

Two of the old-timers at the store since its opening in Klerksdorp, Ansie Weyers, the store manager, and assistant, Alma Cremer, recently retired after years of serving clients with passion and dedication.

Alza Rautenbach, founder and CEO, said both Weyers and Cremer were well-known in the Feed-A-Child community.

“They will be dearly missed by all. We also want to take the opportunity to thank every client for their support, whether it is donating all unwanted, but usable goods to our shop or being a client buying second hand treasures and walking away with a big smile and satisfaction."

The shop in Central 66 Shopping Centre is part of Feed A Child’s sustainability program to raise additional funds to support a cause to distribute food to the needy.

Currently Feed A Child is distributing in the region of 1 000 000 meals per year.

Since the retirement of the two ladies, a new manager, Hank Lubbe and assistant, Monique Atkinson were appointed. They promise to serve clients with the same love and passion as they are used to.

“As always, your donations and support to the shop will make a huge difference in the lives of the less fortunate people. We are looking forward to serving you,’’ said Lubbe.
