Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Kitso Moaludi and Jazmijn Schepers, both learners of Klerksdorp Hoërskool who were included in the South African Majorettes Team, recently returned to home soil as two-time world champions from the MWF World Championships held in Croatia during September.

These two drummies were the only two from North West selected to represent South Africa in five categories. The team won gold in their small drill and mace group displays and achieved a fourth place in their duo mace display.

After three days of tough international competition, the senior Protea team’s results were as follows: Small Drill: World champions, Mace Group: World champions, Mace Duo: 4th, Classic Baton Defile: 8th and Group Pom Pon: 9th.

The next World Championships will be held in Cape Town in September 2024.
