Lentswe, Kanana - Phodiso Worship Centre led by Apostle TD Mofokeng, commemorated their heritage day on Monday September 29. It was a distinctive and meaningful meeting as they came together for their weekly service to collectively revere and praise God. They seized the perfect opportunity to honour God by wearing a variety of traditional garments to commemorate their distinct heritages.

The service proceeded with different cultures provided the opportunity to display their dances and traditional garments; it was a delightful and enjoyable experience to see the entire congregation participating and having a great time in the house of the Lord.

Mofokeng concluded the service with a impactful verse from Samuel, instructing the congregation that while others might attempt to “dress” them with their traditions, just as David removed attire that wasn’t meant for him, God has already draped us in His love, which is sufficient in every battle that we face we should only have Jesus as our weapon because with him we are conquers.

“We should Trust Him - He is the Shepherd of Israel, your defender and protector. Our battle is not permanent, God is bigger than every problem.”

It is wonderful when a church comes together with their diverse cultures.

Traditional cultures are merging with other traditional cultures and new cultures are emerging.
