Lentswe, Jouberton - The Wind of Change community development had a five-year celebration. The organisation cleaned up a dumping site and turned it into a park, which is a wonderful initiative. The community came together to celebrate recently, and despite not receiving a response from the council, they were able to secure support from local businesses to make the event a success.
The celebration was a wonderful occasion, with food, drinks, and even traditional African beer, moqombothi!
It was great to see the community come together and appreciate their cultural heritage.
The initiative focuses on sports, art, culture, and education activities. The recognition of committee members, especially Kgosane Tshepo, is well-deserved.
The message of working together as a community to help those in need and take care of the environment is truly inspiring.
