Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The Department of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has published the official fuel price adjustments that took effect on Wednesday June 4. Fuel prices saw a small cut of 5 cents per litre for 93 and 95 petrol, and a cut of 37 cents per litre for diesel. The price of illuminating paraffin fell by 56 cents per litre and LPGAs by 89 cents per kg.
The drop in prices would have been bigger, but the Minister of Finance’s fuel levy increase by 16.0 c/l on petrol and 15.0 c/l on diesel swallowed the big decrease. The new prices at the pump are R21.24/l for 93 petrol, R21.35 for 95 petrol, diesel 0.05% wholesale R18.53, diesel 0.005% wholesale will be R18.57, illuminating paraffin will be R12.49 and LPGAS R37.34/kg.
