Lentswe, Klerksdorp - A scam-mer posing as a police officer is active in the area and the police are asking residents to be alert. The scammer introduces himself as “Capt Pillay from Stilfontein SAPS”, asking suppliers to the police in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District for donations towards a church project called Word of Life Ministries.
“There is no such officer associa-ted with the police in Stilfontein or with Word of Life Ministries. This is a fraudulent scheme,” said Capt Elize van Schalkwyk, police spokesperson.
