Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Justice Moyo (47) was sentenced to 15 years direct imprisonment after being found guilty of fraud, forgery and uttering. He was sentenced in Klerksdorp Magistrates’ Court on Thursday October 19. Moyo was arrested on February 28 after he used fraudulent documents to purchase a Ford Ranger at a car dealership in Klerksdorp. 
The dealership alerted the police and he was arrested. 
The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation Provincial Head, Major General Patrick Mbotho and the Director of Public Prosecutions in the North West, Dr Rachel Makhari, lauded the investigation and prosecution team for securing a successful conviction.

Lentswe, Potchefstroom - President Cyril Ramaphosa held a successful engagement with the community of the JB Marks Local Municipality in Potchefstroom last week. This was a returnzvisit to the province following the initial District Development Model (DDM) Presidential Imbizo in Mafikeng last year March. The purpose of the engagement was to assess progress on the government interventions since his previous visit.

Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The North West Gambling Board presented an awareness campaign at the Terminus Shopping Centre to educate people about the difference between licensed and unlicensed gambling.
The board highlighted the risks associated with, when participating in gambling activities and emphasized that there are two types of gamblers: social and problem gamblers. 
The community was advised to gamble responsibly and be aware of when to stop, especially for gambling winners.
The North West Gambling Board urged the community to report any sort of illegal gambling or illegal gambling licenses to the NW Gambling Board hotline on 0860 545 545.
