Dieketseng Mmokwa from Diphetogo Primary School is off to another provincial championships, the second time this year. She took part in the 1 200 m in athletics and will now take part in cross country over 3km.
NWU wins over TUT

The night also saw impressive wins from log leaders UP-Tuks and NWU handed defending champs TUT another defeat at home in Mahikeng.
New soccer league to kick off
Lentswe, Alabama - The Matlosana Industrial Soccer League (MISL) will kick off on September 28. “The kick-off for the Clicks Charity Industrial tournament will be on Saturday August 24 at Alabama Stadium.
Kanana Primary NW champs
Lentswe, Kanana - For the first time in history of the Sanlam Kay Motsepe League, Kanana Primary are the reigning u/13 boys’ champions. They eliminated both Rustenburg Noord, Victory and Florida on their way and collected nine points. The Kanana boys brought home a trophy and first prize of R100 000. Rustenburg Noord ended second, followed by Victory and Florida respectively.
Karatekas shine at Sakmaa champs
Lentswe, Potchefstroom - The past weekend, in celebration of Women’s Day, Martial Arts SA (Masa) and the SA Korean Martial Arts Association (Sakmaa) held the national Sakmaa championship in Potchefstroom.
Ryu kyu karate also took part in this tournament. Marko Blignaut took part in the boys 10-12 year category for blue to green belt.
