RKG Karate took part in the Global Traditional Martial Arts (GTMA) National Championships 2024 on Saturday October 5. Sensei Nathen Olivier took part in boys 15-18 year’s Black Belt division. He is the new GTMA National Kata/Forms Champion as well as the new GTMA National Weapon Kata Champion. He placed second in Continuous Sparing (kickboxing). Tumi Kedamile took part in boys 15-18 years white - green belt division. He is the new GTMA National Kata/Forms Champion, received second place for Continuous Sparing, second for Point Sparing and placed third for Combat Weapons.
Bring the cup home
Zamalek FC are the champions of the Northern Cape. The local team played in Kuruman on September 28 and 29 and they won the tournament. They played 101 Masters, Kathu Masters and Thupa Masters.
Cheetahs roar at Sevens Festival
Visitors from across the Limpopo triumphed at last weekend’s Sevens Festival in Klerksdorp. The Zim Cheetahs won the Premier Rugby League. It was their third attempt at winning the league and the players were ecstatic. They were surprised how cold it was, but according to the organiser of the event, Raymond Vermeulen, their performances were red-hot.

NWU to face UWC in the final
Lentswe, Mahikeng - The 2024 Varsity Football finalists have been decided after UWC travelled to Pretoria and beat log leaders Tuks for the second time in the tournament while in Mahikeng the Eagles got their revenge and thumped UFS to secure a home final that will take place on September 26 at 19:00.
NW ladies FC win provincial champs
Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The NW Sasol League has concluded.
It was at Die Wilge School where the lasses met and NWU ladies clobbered Royal Queens FC 2 - 0 to be crowned 2024 champions.
NWU ladies hail from Mahikeng NWU campus. They will now play in the National Hollywood Football League having gained promo-tion. Ditlhoriso Moeng who leads regional women’s soccer and also hosted the Banyana Banyana national head coach, Dr Desiree Ellis, graced the occasion. She was accompanied by NW Provincial Competition chairperson Orapeleng Setlhare.
