Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Douglas Lidén, a music teacher student from the Royal Academy of Music (KMH) in Stockholm, is currently involved with a practical teaching experience at Curro Klerksdorp. Sent by KMH to the NWU, Liden aims to teach music lessons to the learners in the primary school, observe drama lessons and assist Curro Create Sing-It entrants.

This forms part of his music education and exposure to South African culture.

Curro Klerksdorp hosted his lecturers, Eva Nivbrant Wedin and Anna Backman Bister - both world leaders in their fields of study. According to the school, they were so impressed with the music offering that positive inroads were made for future collaboration.
