Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The Shoprite Group has been honoured for its outstanding contribution to the ‘Social’ component of ESG at the Youth Employment Service (YES)’s inaugural ESG Awards. The YES programme is a business-driven initiative in partnership with government and labour to build economic pathways for black youth to reduce unemployment.
Pampoene: Plant nou vir fees
Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Die Afrikaanse Protestantse Kerk hou sy volgende Pampoenfees op 16 Maart volgende jaar. Dit klink dalk nog ver, maar jy moet plant en hulle verwag reusepampoene! Die kerk is in Ianstraat, Wilkoppies geleë.
Die eerste prys vir die grootste pampoen is R10 000. Inkrywings kos R300 wat ‘n plantjie en twee pitte insluit. Ekstra plantjies kos R100 elk en dit kos R50 vir ‘n pampoenpit.

Die VLU Prismatak bied die vertoning op 18 November om 11:00 in die Herlewingsentrum, Connielaan, Adamayview aan.
Die vertoning het ‘n ouderdomsbeperking van 14 jaar.
Die kaartjies is beskikbaar by Die Wolwinkel in Buffelsdoornweg. Die kaartjies kos R150 elk.
Cancer warriors
Milner High School presented a Cancer Awareness Week last week at the school with learners and teachers wearing ribbons in support of cancer warriors. The week ended on Thursday October 12 with a spray-a-thon where all funds raised were donated to Cansa. The school invited three ladies on motorbikes to join this great initiative and they made some noise to the enjoyment of the learners.
