Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The National Energy Regulator (Nersa) has started the review process for municipal tariff applications for the new financial year to be implemented on July 1. The Matlosana Municipality’s application for an increase of 11.5% on domestic use has been published on Nersa’s website for public comment (www.nersa.org.za under Electricity>Consultation>notices).

Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The family of Matlale Mooki are desperate to find her. Keikantsemang, as she is also known, went missing on October 24 last year, when she was sent by her mom to buy groceries for her uncle’s funeral. They gave her R1 100 and she never returned. She is 23 years old and was last seen at Tower Mall in Jouberton.

Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Looking for the biggest party in town? Just follow the searchlight to Tobacco City’s 10 year birthday bash that is happening this weekend. The event will be held at 66 Central Avenue on Saturday May 24 and the whole parking lot will be turned into one massive party playground from 14:00.

Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Die Afrikaans-Amptelik 100-veldtog is van stapel gestuur om die bestaan van Afrikaans as amptelike landstaal te vier. In Klerksdorp word ook ‘n paar verskillende vieringe beplan om Afrikaans se 100ste bestaansjaar te vier. Die eerste funksie is by Verdant op 20 Junie waar The B Gallery in samewerking met Klerksdorp Boekefees ‘n aand van kuns, musiek, skryfwerk en digkuns aanbied. Alle skrywers, digters, fotograwe en kunstenaars (jonk en oud) word genooi om Afrikaans 100 te vier op papier, in ‘n foto of dit in ‘n kunswerk uit te beeld.
