BRITS POS – HARTBEESPOORT – Police confirmed that cases of murder, business robbery and an ATM bombing were registered at Hartbeespoort police station yesterday, 3 July, in the early hours of the morning.

“Allegedly seven armed suspects entered a fuel station in Hartbeespoort in the early hours of the morning. They shot and killed a security officer who was inside a patrol vehicle and then proceeded to the kiosk, broke a window pane and ordered the cashier and petrol attendant who was inside the kiosk to hand over cash and cellphones,” says Const Ben Moabi, SAPS Bojanala spokesperson.

Other suspects bombed the ATM at the fuel station, but at our going to press it has not been confirmed whether they were successful in retrieving cash from the bombed ATM.
