RUSTENBURG HERALD - PHOKENG - On Heritage Day, Tshwaraganang Community Development organised Heritage Day celebrations at Kgotla ya Punodung in Phokeng.
The executives of Tshwaragang, Rapula Makgale (founder), Motlogelwa Khunoane (co-founder) and Mpho Marumo (head of community development), after their successful Father's Day event, organised another event to celebrate Heritage Day.
Through sponsorships from the community at large they were able to cook traditional food for the community and prepare African beer.
On the day they had traditional dancers, bands and DJs and Dr Babedi from CANSA and Sister Mokgethi (Bafokeng Health Care) were there to educate the community on health issues.
Kgosana Kenny Mokate was amongst the guests who shared the history of the Bafokeng. Mokate also recited some of his own poetry - that was out of this world.
Tshwaraganang would like to thank everyone who made this event possible.
