Nature and game reserve enthusiasts across the North West Province will be delighted to know that for the current week (28 September to 5 October) visits to all nature and game reserves in the province will be free of charge in accordance with the annual Park Mahala Week initiative of the North West Park & Tourism Department. In the Rustenburg region, there will be particular interest from those who have been waiting for an opportunity to visit the Kgaswane Nature Reserve in Rustenburg and the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve at Sun City.
Numerous other reserves will of course also be open to the public for free visits with the only exception the Madikwe Nature Reserve. The public is encouraged to make full use of this unique opportunity - remember however that pre-booking for school visits is mandatory. More information is available on 018 397 1500.
