RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG – Rustenburg Local Municipality has been made aware of fraudulent job advertisements and notifications circulating on social media platforms and community WhatsApp groups, claiming to offer employment opportunities within the municipality. The municipality says these job offers are not legitimate and have not been issued by the Rustenburg Local Municipality. The municipality does not request payment of any kind for employment or recruitment services - any communication requesting money, bank details, or personal information in exchange for a job is a scam.
Members of the public are urged to exercise caution and not engage with or share these fraudulent messages.
“Always verify job opportunities by visiting the official Rustenburg Local Municipality website or contacting the municipality directly. Do not respond to messages or calls that ask for payment, banking details, copies of Identity Documents, or other personal information in relation to a job offer. Report suspicious messages to the South African Police Service (SAPS) and the municipality.
“The Rustenburg Local Municipality remains committed to transparency and fairness in all recruitment processes. Official job opportunities are only advertised through the municipality’s official website, newspapers and official social media accounts (verified pages).”
