RUSTENBURG HERALD – RUSTENBURG - The Rustenburg Local Municipality recently continued its public participation roadshow on identified municipal by-laws and policies’ review.
The review presentation covered the following:
Outdoor advisement bylaws
Public passenger and goods transportation bylaws
Calming traffic policy
Water policy, and
Partial lease of Marais swimming pool to Rustenburg Club as per Council resolution.
In these prepared presentations meetings, communities are afforded the opportunity to participate in the development of municipal bylaws and policies which finds expression in government’s mandate of developmental local government, which involves encouraging community participation in decision-making processes. Communities are therefore urged to make comments on these policies.
This exercise is the implementation of Council resolution in line with the approved public participation schedule which concludes on 5 December.
