RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Sunday evening, at 20:45 all South African rugby supporters will try to be somewhere where they can watch the Springboks taking on the French.
The quarter final match will kick off at 21:00 at the Stade de France, Saint-Denis. South Africa will not run out against 15 French rugby players, they will come face to face with about 80 000 Les Bleus supporters - a formidable foe. The French pack, and their scrum in particular, has shown their mettle right from the start of the tournament - maybe one of the few that may actually be real competition for the Springbok powerhouse.

The set pieces of Les Bleus is another strong point, and the team executing them the best will probably have dominance. "We’ve been working hard on our set pieces and there’s a lot more to do, but we are looking forward to the challenge," Jasper Wiese said in a recent interview. Hopefully the 'Boks gained valuable lessons from their previous encounter with the French and have also scrutinized all their pool games.
The locals have a couple of big boys, men that will run hard at the opposition if permitted.
Fans can expect an intense match with a big forward battle and collisions so powerful, it could probably register on the Richter scale.
The other quarter final matches scheduled for the weekend are:
Wales vs Argentina - Saturday (14 October) at 17:00
Ireland vs All Blacks - Saturday (14 October) at 21:00
England vs Fiji - Sunday (15 October) at 17:00
