Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - For the first time this year six winning titles were awarded at the Miss Teen, Miss and Mrs Klerksdorp pageant.
Pageant organiser Zee Dyson announced that besides the winning titles, she added three high titles to the pageant that include a Brand Ambassador, a Charity Ambassador and a Youth Ambassador to be of assistance to the title holders during their year of reign. At the crowning ceremony on Saturday July 5 she added that the Mrs category of the pageant will next year be split in two, so that the younger contestants and older contestants will not compete against each other.
The new Mrs Klerksdorp is an Orkney mom of twin boys, Tonette Theart. She is currently studying theology and works at a registrar at City on a Hill church. Her princesses are Kezia Blake, a hair stylist in Klerksdorp, and Emmarentia Coetzee, a make-up artist from Hartbeesfontein.
In the Miss Klerksdorp category, Chenique Terblanche, a student in Business Management took the crown home. Her princesses are Maatje Luus, a skills development provider and entrepreneur, and Mamelo Maine, an administrative assistant at Hoërskool Orkney.
The new Miss Klerksdorp Teen is KHS learner, Nicolé Janse van Vuuren, with Lee-Ann Jacobs from Hoërskool Schoonspruit and Realeboga Tlhacoane from Milner High School, her princesses.
The high titles belong to MJ Nel, tattoo artist and business owner, who was crowned Brand Ambassador for the second year in a row, Chanté Appleton, an OCR verifier is the Youth Ambassador and Antoinette Marais, business owner is the Charity Ambassador.
