Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The families of four young people who died in a motor vehicle accident in October last year, are raising funds on a crowd funding platform to help pay for private investigation fees.
Cherice Grobler, sister of one of the deceased, announced the Back a Buddy crowd funding campaign on Wednesday October 29.
On October 13 last year, Ruan Esterhuizen, Jackie Willis, Max Knott-Craig and Jané Janse van Rensburg died. “Since that day, we’ve been fighting tirelessly for justice. But the truth doesn’t always come easy. The official investigation has been slow, and crucial evidence needs to be properly analysed to prove what really happened.’’
Funds are needed to do a vehicle accident reconstruction, to determine exactly how the crash occurred and who was responsible, and to get expert analysis and reports, to support the case in court. Legal and investigative costs are also high.
“These investigations are expensive, but they are vital. Without them, we risk the truth being buried and our angels never receiving the justice they deserve. Every contribution, big or small- helps us get closer to the answers we’ve been fighting for. It’s not just about money; it’s about standing together for truth, accountability, and love.’’
