Lentswe, Jouberton - The Sons of Allen Men’s Ministry of the AME Church, SP Maarohanye chapel in Jouberton, hosted their first Men’s Parliament that was held at Matlosana Country Lodge. The event was organised with the aim to give men a platform and space to engage on men’s issues. Topics that were covered were mental health, GBV and money matter. 

The Departments of Health, Justice and Constitutional Development, Sports Arts and Culture, Aurum Institute, Old Mutual, Sanlam and Right to Care were in attendance to share valuable information relating not only to men but also the young adults. 

“This is the beginning; we are going to have events of this nature annually to help provide a safe space for men to talk,” said the Unit President, Bro Oscar Gaanakgomo, and Rev Motseko Potse, who is the pastor of this church.
