Lentswe, Kanana - The Hawks in collaboration with Crime Intelligence and the Tactical Response Team (TRT) busted a 32-year-old man for dealing in explosives. The suspect was arrested in Kanana on Thursday June 12 following a sting operation.
According to Lt-Col Tinyiko Mathebula, police spokesperson, the police were tipped off about a man being in possession of explosives stolen from a mine that he was busy selling. “The team worked together and nabbed the suspect soon after selling the explosives for R10 000.’’
He was expected to appear in the Orkney Magistrates’ Court this week.
