Lentswe, Klerksdorp - A group of bikers from Limpopo passing through Klerksdorp on the N12 was injured when an interlink truck turned in front of them. The accident happened on Friday February 28 just after noon. Ambulances were dispatched to the scene as three bikers were injured at the busy intersection. The traffic lights have been out of order for more than a year. According to paramedics, one of the bikers suffered serious injuries. All three were transported to hospital to receive medical attention. The motorcycle club was travelling to a bike rally.
Flood causes widespread evacuation

The last time the Schoonspruit has flooded this far is said to be in 1976 when parts of Klerksdorp CBD were also under water. Last week, smallholdings, businesses and houses near the Schoonspruit were flooded when several farm dams upstream near Ventersdorp burst their banks due to the unrelenting rain.
Reaching out during the month of love
Lentswe, Khuma - Amankala Mining visited two schools in Khuma on Valentine’s day to share some love with the disadvantaged learners of Hata Butle Secondary and Nozizwe Primary School. “Love cares love shares. It takes a village to raise a child. “This are all acts of love,” said Mrs Gulwa, CEO, as she was addressing the learners and teachers. In attendance was the Methodist Church Minister Rev Matsididi and the Gulwa family and friends. They also donated school shoes, sanitary towels for the girls and toiletry packs for the boys.
Report complaints to police
Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Members of the community are requested to refrain from reporting cases or lodging complaints about SAPS on social media platforms. In a recent incident, a complaint was published on Zeerust Nuus with allegations that Swartruggens police permitted a group of approximately 80 people to load cattle from a farm without the owner’s consent.
Crime stats: nobody feels safe
Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The national crime statistics were released last week, reflecting the horrific daily experiences of South Africans.
Even though there is still a downward trend in crime, South Africans are still exposed to unacceptable levels of violent crimes, said Heloise Denner of the Freedom Front Plus. Ian Cameron, DA Spokesperson on Police, said if you ask anyone across communities whether they feel safer, their answer would be no.
