Lentswe, Klerksdorp - While South Africa is preparing for elections in May 2024 in less than a month, political parties are putting up election posters as part of their campaigns. In the past, there have unfortunately been incidents where persons have been electrocuted or shocked when putting up these posters.  

Lentswe, Khuma - A 19 year-old man is safe after the police rescued him from the boot of a Toyota Camry after he was kidnapped.
Five suspects were arrested on charges of house robbery, kidnapping, extortion and unlawfull possession of firearms on Friday April 26.

Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The SA Police  invites unemployed graduates to apply for a twelve month Graduate Recruitment Scheme. The Graduate Recruitment Scheme is part of the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy.
The generic requirements are be a SA citizen, must be in possession of National Senior Certificate or equivalent (NCV L4), must have no previous criminal conviction or case pending, applicants must be unemployed, never employed in the field of the advertised post and never participated in an internship programme in the relevant field of the post, applicants must be residents of the province where the post is advertised and applicants are restricted to applying for only three posts and complete a separate application form for each post reference number.

Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality’s health services department cautioned the community about the probability of waterborne diseases alongside the Vaal River.
Environmental Health Practitioners (EHPs) led by the MMC for Municipal Health Services Councillor Wendy Makgathe visited Vaal River Boating Club, Orkney Vaal and Visarend Caravan Park situated along the Vaal River in Orkney on Friday April 26.
