Lentswe, Maquassie Hills - Tshimega Chess Institute, in proud partnership with Maquassi Hills Municipal Libraries, hosted an inspiring chess recognition ceremony that celebrated both academic excellence and strategic brilliance! During the event, six brand-new chess boards and 10 achievement certificates were awarded to outstanding learners who excel both in academics and in the game of chess. The schools that shined at this celebration were Thusang Primary School, Tiragalo Secondary School, and Gontse Primary School - honoured for their consistent dedication and enthusiasm for the sport.
The goal of the initiative is to expand the outreach to more schools and to encourage more learners across the Maquassi Hills Municipality to embrace chess - a game that sharpens the mind, builds discipline, and rewards hard work both on and off the board.
