Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The city’s cultural museum is looking for a sponsor of digital space to help preserve a part of history. According to Bert Gaffen, historian, an unnamed cultural organisation with whom the museum is in regular contact, received funding to digitally preserve images of the treasure trove of Khoisan Rock Art on Bosworth farm in the district.
“Part of the conditions for the funding is that a local museum should act as a repository for these images, utilising some 75GB of digital space.

The aim is that these images should be made available to the general public through cloud storage to which a link for browsing by all interested persons can be made available,” he said.

The Klerksdorp Cultural Museum has been selected as the repository institute for these images and needs help to procure online cloud storage services. Can you provide cloud storage for these images, as well as other cultural heritage-related photos and internal publications about the history of Klerksdorp and its people, free of charge?
