Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The young karatekas of Ryu Kyu Goju Karate graded recently and also competed at the SA Nationals with flying colours. The club took nine new national championship titles at the national event in Pretoria. Sensei Nathen Olivier is the star of the club. He competed in his age group and belt division and excelled.

Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - South Africa’s top Drill, Dance and Majorettes athletes will showcase their talent this week at the SA Nationals being held at Hoërskool Wesvalia.
The Federation of Dance, Drill, Cheerleading and Majorette Sport South Africa (FDDCMSA) invites locals to attend the championship that kicks off on Saturday July 12. The opening ceremony will be held on Friday July 11.
More than 1 000 pre-primary, primary school, high school, and tertiary athletes from all over South Africa are expected at the event. The grand finale and closing ceremony will be on Thursday July 16.
Tickets are available via Quicket. Tickets are R70 per day for adults, R50 per day for pensioners and R30 per day for children younger than 12.
A championship pass will set you back R360. The entire event will be broadcast on SuperSport Schools.

It has been renamed to International Dance Organisation (IDO) African Championship: Battle of the Giants. The dance competition will take place until July 3. The South African Body of Dance (SABOD) and International Dance Organisation (IDO) are thrilled to share an extraordinary announcement that promises to redefine the dance landscape in Africa, and introducing the inaugural event, IDO African Championships – Battle of the Giants Dancing event, being hosted at the legendary Sun City resort.
