Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Given a chance to play on clay courts for the first time on South African soil, local players took full advantage of the opportunity by producing quality tennis across the board in the Renault Clay Courts Challenge hosted by North-West University (NWU) in Potchefstroom.

Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The Vlakvark Run is a legendary race through the Faan Meintjes Nature Reserve. The Klerksdorp Marathon Club will present the 19th edition on September 20, and entries are open. Pre-entries close on September 18.
The race takes competitors through the reserve where they can spot various wildlife, and competitors from all over the country travel to Klerksdorp to compete in this unique run.

The students of the Stilfontein Kickboxing Club participated in the Jakaranda Kickboxing Challenge that was held in Potchefstroom in July. They participated in the following three modes: Kick Light, Light Continuous and Points Fighting and all performed well. Mohau Seepamore received a gold and a silver medal, Arno Ouwenkamp (one bronze and a silver), Shando van Niekerk (three silver medals), Chuan van Niekerk (three silver medals), Zaid Hoosen (two silver medals) and (front) Shihan Martin Neff (two gold medals), Biané Kriel (one gold and a bronze medal), Ivan Murray (two gold medals), Keanen van Niekerk (one gold and a silver medal) and Daniël de Wet (three silver medals).

This annual awareness campaign invites men to run 5km wearing nothing but a purple Speedo - sparking conversations, challenging stigmas and encouraging early detection through testing to deal with life’s unsures.
