Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The Matlosana Municipality said residents should expect a delay in the delivery of municipal accounts due to a disruption in meter reading services.
Apologising to the community, Ntswaki Makgetha, spokesperson, said the delay resulted from a dispute between the municipality and the appointed service provider, Mosekate Meter Readers, which has been resolved. “We acknowledge the confusion and inconvenience caused during this period and regret any frustration experienced by our valued customers.
“Although there were conflicting reasons cited by both Mosekate Meter Readers and the Municipality, we are committed to improving communication and operational efficiency moving forward,” she said.
She added Mosekate has resumed meter reading activities and efforts are being made to ensure a smooth and consistent service. “Account updates will be delayed, and the process is expected to be finalized by Friday August 8,” Ntswaki Makgetha said.
