Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The Klerksdorp Rotary Club donated four more interactive whiteboards to Laerskool Unie in October.

The club needs to raise funds so that the remaining 12 can be installed and the entire school will be equipped with the latest technology.

According to Allison de Lange, president, whiteboards have been found to improve student participation more than traditional classroom boards. The interactive white boards allow students to answer questions, take votes from their seats and the results are displayed instantly.

“The whiteboards are touch-enabled, therefore, teachers can tap to perform calculations, reveal layers of information as well as allow the teacher to move information with the tip of a finger,” she said.
