Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The new Mrs Royal Star Africa is La Hoff resident Koketso Penny Moemi-Makau. The competition is at international level, for which South Africa was the host country for 2023. As Mrs Royal Star Africa she will be representing the continent against other countries in March 2024. “I entered this as a reminder to myself and other married women that it’s never too late to revisit your dreams and turn them into reality. It was also important that I get the crown, as a pageant boss myself it serves as a reminder to my models that they can achieve anything they set their minds to,’’ she said.

There were entries from all over South Africa, and various categories were represented including babies, teens, Miss, Ms and Mrs categories were included.

“I am thrilled to have won, this comes after I was selected as a finalist for Mrs South Africa in 2019. I am pleased to represent my beautiful town of Klerksdorp and will use this platform to fight against period poverty in surrounding townships.’’
