Mayor’s golf day strengthens bursary scheme
CAPM Mine supported the City of Matlosana Mayoral Charity Golf Day held at Orkney Golf Club last week with a R20 000 sponsorship, contributing to a total of R430 000 raised for the Mayor’s bursary scheme. The funds will help underprivileged students with tertiary registration fees. Organisers thanked all participants and sponsors for their commitment. CAPM Mine said the partnership reflects its ongoing support for education and community development in Matlosana. The Oppikampus Letsgo Potch! Marathon took place on Saturday October 25. Johannes Radebe was the first runner from the Klerksdorp Marathon Club who finished the 42 km marathon. He competed in the veteran 40-49 category and finished in a time of 2:50:38 (17th overall).
Netball club wants to grow
Lentswe, Jouberton - The Tswelelopele Netball Club is a safe haven for young girls and boys aged 7-20 to grow, learn, and thrive. According to the coach, Tsholofelo Pitso, the club is more than just a sports team - it’s a community that empowers young individuals to become confident, compassionate, and responsible individuals. Through netball, they provide a positive outlet for the youth to channel their energy, develop teamwork skills, and build lasting friendships.

Lentswe, Orkney - The City of Matlosana Municipality presents the Mayoral Charity Golf Day next week. The Executive Mayor invites business leaders, community stakeholders, and residents to join in the gholf day and help raise funds for the Mayoral Bursary Scheme. The funds raised from this event will directly support deserving local students who aspire to further their studies but face financial challenges.
