Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The Orkney and Klerksdorp Animal Shelter’s fundraiser, dog show and family fun day will be held this weekend. All animal lovers are invited to this great event, hosted by K9 Academy at Curro, 22 Elm Street on Saturday September 6. They promise a fun-filled day for the whole family and their furry friends. The dog show categories are nicest rescue, smallest adult dog, largest friendly dog, best dressed, dog & owner look-a-like, ugliest adorable mutt, best dog trick, prettiest dog (small, medium, large) and 2025 prettiest dog of the year.
Some special events will be held such as an obedience challenge, protection work, doggie fun walk, colouring & photo competitions, scent detection, and Doglympics (50m sprint, high jump, long jump, hurdle race, obstacle race & dog jumping).
They will also have food, fun and stalls and trophies, medals and loads of prizes to be won.
The entry fees are R10 per vehicle, R20 per person (includes R20 discount for one dog event), R30 per dog event and dogs enter for free. Please bring something for the Animal Shelter!
