  • Rape suspect wanted by police

    NOORDWESTER - KANANA - The police in Kanana request the community’s assistance in locating and identifying a man as per the attached identikit.
    It was reported to the police that a 15-year-old victim was walking home in Extension 4, Kanana, at about 18:30 on Tuesday, 19 August. She was approached by an unknown man who overpowered and threatened her with a knife, then raped her.

     

  • Police impersonator remains in custody

    NOORDWESTER - BLOEMHOF: A 52-year-old police impersonator, Sinki Lukas Msiba, was remanded in custody for further investigation when he appeared in the Bloemhof Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 19 November. He will reappear on Monday, 8 December.
    Msiba arrived at Bloemhof police station on Tuesday evening, 18 November, and introduced himself as a Colonel from Pretoria. 

     

  • Verskeie droë troeteldierkosse verskaf deur RCL FOODS teruggeroep

    NOORDWESTER – LICHTENBURG - Die Nasionale Verbruikerskommissie (NCC) waarsku verbruikers oor die terugroeping van spesifieke droë honde- en katkosprodukte, soos deur RCL Foods uitgereik. 
    Dit sluit in verskillende groottes Bobtail, Catmor, Canine Cuisine, Optimizor, Ultra Pet en Superwoof. Ongeveer 55 352 bokse (sakke) is op 26-29 Mei, 4-5 Junie en 17 Junie vervaardig en regoor die land versprei.  

    Volgens RCL Foods het hulle verhoogde vlakke van Deoxynivalenol (DON) in sekere besendings waar mielies gebruik word om droë troeteldierkos te vervaardig, geïdentifiseer.
