NOORDWESTER – LICHTENBURG - Lichtenburg SAPS representatives Sector 1 Commander, Constable Sebothe and Sector 3 Commander Sergeant Mashaba embarked on a campaign at the shops around town to alert them about shoplifting. 
They also took a robot dressed in police uniform, which was placed at Checkers Supermarket, Lichtenburg Mall, with a message that says “STOP SHOP LIFTING” to make community members aware that you can be arrested for it.

Constable Sebothe engaged with the area manager Mr Radebe who is also excited about the idea and he said he believes that the robot will help and promised take care of the robot.  Constable Robot will also rotate around the mall at different shops to spread the message to the people especially to shop lifters, that shop lifting is a crime and it must be stopped. Shoppers around the shop and the workers were also excited about the robot.
