NOORDWESTER – VENTERSDORP - The ongoing Vala Umgodi operations in the province led to the arrest of 22 suspects between Thursday, 20 and Sunday, 23 February, for contravention of Section 49 (1) (a) of the Immigration Act, 2002.
Of the 22 suspects, nine were nabbed in Tlhabane, five in Mabeskraal, five in Mooinooi and four in Mogwase. They comprise of Mozambiquan, Zimbabwean, Ethiopian, Lesotho, Malawi and Pakistan foreign nationals, as well as a South African.

NOORDWESTER – BIESIESVLEI - Curbing bullying, dangerous weapons, sexual offences, substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) , Biesiesvlei police in partnership with the Community Police Forum (CPF), visited Tlhalefang Primary School in February to engage with learners.
The organisation was accompanied by the Department of Social Development, Health, Love Life, New Beginning Support Group, Youth Crime Prevention Desk, Community in Blue Patrollers, Sector 2 CPF Sub-Forum, Family violence Child protection and Sexual offences (FCS) unit.
Second accused in court for alleged pension fraud worth R2.3 million
NOORDWESTER – OTTOSDAL - Mmakgomo Doris Ngcobo (42) appeared before the Ottosdal Magistrates’ Court on charges of fraud worth R2.3 million on Thursday, 13 February.
Reports indicated that in October 2021, a 63-year-old woman was approached by her friend recruiting her to join an investment scheme.
She allegedly took her to a traditional healer at Golf View, Mahikeng who then advised her to resign from her job, as she was due for pension - so that the ancestors could bless her.

NOORDWESTER – LICHTENBURG - Die Nasionale Energiereguleerder van Suid-Afrika (Nersa) se Elektrisiteitssubkomitee (ELS) het aanbeveel dat die kleinhandel-elektrisiteitstariefaanpassings in Eskom se kleinhandeltariefplan 2025 (RTP 2025) goedgekeur word.
Dit is volgens die besturende direkteur van EE Business Intelligence en energiekenner Chris Yelland, besturende direkteur van EE Besigheidsintelligensie.

In this initiative of going beyond the call of duty, the organisation was accompanied by the Community in Blue Patrollers and Youth Crime Prevention Desk.
