STELLALANDER-GANYESA: The two men accused of killing Constable Boikanyo Molale made their second appearance in the Ganyesa Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 3 November.
Constable Molale’s lifeless body was discovered at around 05:30 on Saturday, 25 October 2025, in the Thokoza Section of Ganyesa, near Vryburg. Preliminary police investigations revealed that the 30-year-old officer, who was attached to Ganyesa Visible Policing, had been assaulted by an unknown number of suspects. He was declared dead at the scene. Police have since arrested two suspects, aged 22 and 27, in connection with the murder.
Efforts are ongoing to trace additional suspects who may have been involved.
During Monday’s court proceedings, the accused Beziwe Kiet (27), Phemelo Kiet(22), Thabiso Kgosiencho(22) and Keookantse Kgosiencho (23) abandoned their bail application, and the case was postponed until Monday, 1 December 2025, for further investigation. Outside the court, approximately 300 community members gathered in a peaceful picket organised by the Office of the MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management (COSATMA). The demonstration aimed to stand in solidarity against the killing of police officers and to show support for Constable Molale’s family and colleagues. Authorities have condemned the brutal attack and reiterated their commitment to bringing all perpetrators to justice.
