It was with great excitement that the first two quarterly winners of our popular art competition were announced on Tuesday morning only hours after the end of the second long weekend in a row. We have much reason to believe that a bit of extra cash will come in very handy at this time of the year. With her brilliant piece of charcoal art, Elrien Botha (middle) was one of two winners who walked off with prize-money of R1 000 in cash. Elrien was congratulated by Liesl Broeksma (left) and Christelle Niemandt, both of Rustenburg Herald on Tuesday morning. Inset picture: Sifiso Qhantsi was the second quarterly winner of our art competition.
Sifisi was also rewarded with prize-money of R1 000 in cash. Here Sifiso is congratulated by Cecile Volschenk, Chief Administrator of our art competition. Both these winners automatically advance to the final round and grand judging towards the end of the year.
