RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Op Saterdag, 8 Maart het die Rustenburg Amateur Boksklub se boksers aan die Bert Collins Ontwikkelingstoernooi in Springs deelgeneem.

WUKF & MASA taking hands
WUKF (World Union Karate Federation) North West Traditional Karate & Kobudo Provincial Challenge – a historic first. This past weekend, history was made with the first-ever officially sanctioned WUKF SA & MASA & MASA NW (Martial Arts South Africa) North West Provincial Championship. Despite some challenges and limited support, Ken To Ashi Dojo and the team took on the responsibility with dedication and determination to host this milestone event.

RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Laerskool Rustenburg se boogskietskuts het op Saterdag, 21 Februarie aan die SECCA Interskole-boogskietkompetisie by Kraalhoek Boogskietbaan deelgeneem.
Die Larrie-skuts het goed gevaar.
Dit was die eerste boogskietkompetisie vir 2025 en nou is die ys gebreek vir die skuts. Hierdie keer het hulle slegs aan die individuele-kompetisie deelgeneem.
RHS wen Interhoër
RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Hoërskool Rustenburg het op Vrydag, 14 Februarie vir die tweede agtereenvolgende jaar die gesogte Noordwes Interhoër Atletiekbyeenkoms in Potchefstroom gewen. Die Rusties het van die staanspoor af gewys dat die ander skole moet regstaan vir ‘n groot aanslag en dat hul alles in die stryd sal gee om die dag te wen.

RUSTENBURG HERALD - SPRINGS - Sibanye-Stillwater se eerste rugbyspan het die afgelope naweek in hul eerste kragmeting van die nuwe seisoen ‘n naelskraapse oorwinning van 20 - 17 teen Springs Rugbyklub behaal.
Sbu Gwenzane, voorheen van die Grizzlies wat deesdae vir Sibanye uitdraf, is as speler van die wedstryd aangewys nadat hy ‘n reuse wedstryd gespeel het en een van sy span se twee drieë gedruk het.
Kloof View athletes debut at Inter Primary athletics meet
RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Proud athletes and teachers of Kloof View Primary School made their debut at the annual Inter School Athletics meeting, commonly referred to as “Inter Primary”, on Tuesday, 11 February.
This year, the meeting was sponsored by local attorneys’ group, Van Velden - Duffey and saw more than ten local primary schools competing on the grounds at Hoërskool Rustenburg.

Another great achievement for Kancho Albert Venter
RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Another great achievement by well-known local martial artist and Instructor Kancho Albert Venter has been achieved, with his recognition as 2nd Dan Ju-Jitsu.
He currently holds official recognition in six Martial Arts systems, with a Doctorate in the Philosophy of Martial Arts awarded by the International Fellowship of Martial Arts India.
South Africans shine at gruelling Dakar Rally and bring home silverware, records and pride
RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - The 47th edition of the Dakar Rally that took place over 14 days from 4 to 17 January in Saudi Arabia, will go down in the history books as one of the most demanding, toughest and testing and will be remembered by many for formidable racing, perseverance and determination, while the number of awards and accompanying silverware will serve as a reminder of how well South Africans performed.
In the end, the SA team of Henk Lategan and Brett Cummings finished in a close second place with their locally built Toyota Gazoo Racing Hilux EVO, in the extremely competitive Ultimate T1+ Class, after finishing a total of 7 828 kilometres.
