Klerksdorp Record, Orkney - The police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after one of the injured passengers in a motor vehicle accident last week, died in hospital.
Another victim is still in hospital with serious injuries. Brig Sabatha Mokgwabone, police spokesperson, said the accident happened on Thursday October 16 on the R502 between Orkney and Vaal Reefs.
Emergency services responded to find a white VW Polo crashed against a concrete pole. The vehicle reportedly drove off the bridge. ER24 transported two injured people to hospital where one of the passengers later died.
Reports indicate that another vehicle may have been involved, causing the VW to veer off the bridge. The police are investigating.
