Hoërskool Schoonspruit se nuwe hoofleiers is op 30 Julie tydens die VLR-inhuldiging aangewys. Elke jaar oorhandig die uitredende hoofseun en hoofmeisie ‘n Bybel en blom aan die nuwe hoofleiers as simbool van hul jaar van leierskap wat voorlê. Dit is sedert 1996 deel van die skool se tradisie. Hier is die oud-hoofleiers Gary Young en Janah-lize Kotzee, saam met die nuwe hoofleiers, Jeidi Engelbrecht en André Bosman.

 

 

South Africa introduced Spelling Bee in 2010 as part of its literacy enhancement programs and PA Theron Primary (Meepong circuit) is one of 14 primary schools in Khuma and Stilfontein where Hata Butle participated with the trio of Azania Qithi, Omphile Motswenyane and Motshidise Ramaele who ended third. Ramaele will proceed to the District level on August 20. Seen are their English teachers and Victor Mokoena, Thato Dintwe, Thabiso Molefi, coordinator Charlotte Hlahane, and Nandi Mbongo (English departmental head).

 

Die Schoonspruit redenaarspan het op 31 Julie aan die Kosh Interskole-redenaarskompetisie deelgeneem wat by KHS plaasgevind het. Luhan Erwee behaal ‘n eerste plek in die senior-afdeling en CJ Reyneke ‘n derde plek in die junior-afdeling.

 

 

 

Klerksdorp Rekord, Klerksdorp - Wesvalia het hul teenstanders van Secunda op Saterdag 3 Augustus in die doodsnikke van die wedstryd geklop.

Wesvalia is tans die voorlopers in die Noordvaal skildafdeling nadat hulle nog nie ‘n wedstryd verloor het nie. Die Bruin Bere het vroeg in die wedstryd punte aangeteken en hul daarna in ‘n begeesterde Secunda vasgeloop wat met puik verdediging self kon punte aanteken.

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) held its 2024 Free State Online Championships last weekend.

The provincial championship enabled participants to qualify for MSSA’s National team trials (NTT) which will be used to select South Africa’s National Protea teams for titles played that are not included in International Esports Federation (IESF) and Global Esports Federation (GEF) events.

There were only two provinces represented, and 20 players qualified for Senior Provincial Colours.

Marcu van Wyk of KHS won the Clash Royale - High School category. Katlego Kabayi of NWU took home the Clash Royale Premier title. Rearabetswe Moloi of the NWU took the Fifa 24 Premier title and received NW colours. Koketso Molete of the NWU won the Rocket League - U24 - 1 v 1. 

The other titles went to Dawnview High (eFootball and Mobile Legends - Premier), Crawford College Lonehill (DotA) and TukseSports for Tekken 8 and Valorant - Premier.

PRONHS took the title for Rocket League and the Sportsmanship Award.
